Lisa Perrett
From: Sydney.
Current job: I used to be a registered operating theatre and anaesthetic nurse, and now I’m a medical representative at Johnson & Johnson Medical, DePuy Product Specialist.
Role in Rwanda: Anaesthetic/scrub nurse, gofer, and all-round team entertainment.
What sparked your interest in being involved: I used to live with Kymmie and she had been on heaps of these trips, so one year she asked me to go. I’ve never been to Africa or Rwanda, so this was a great chance.
Similar trips you’ve been on: I’ve been on OOH trips to Papua New Guinea each year since year 2000, and I’ve also been on Vanuatu and Fiji trips.
What you remember most from a previous trip: The people in the countries we visit, especially the kids, and especially the kids in PNG – they are so cute. OOH trips test your versatility and ability to adapt to challenges, and it’s always interesting.
Passions/interests: Martial arts Karate (Black Belt), music and going to see live bands, and having BBQs with friends.
