Role in Rwanda: Physiotherapist

What sparked your interest in being involved: I have been keen to volunteer overseas for some time and finally the right trip came up that worked in with the rest of life. A former colleague was going on the trip and I donated on her site and jokingly said "do you need a physio?". 4 days later I was all signed up to join the trip. I have done lots of travel in the past and loved the people in Africa so was not hard to be convinced.

Similar Trips that you’ve been on: This is my first trip like this. I have done some volunteer teaching with the Variety Bash in regional NSW last year.

Passions & Interests: I love travelling and seeing new places and sharing experiences with new people. Being in the health profession we are about helping others and a smile is a great reward which I'm sure we will get plenty of in Rwanda. In my spare time I like to rock climb, mountain bike, compete in adventure races and play hockey. Pretty much if its outdoors I'm in.
